Join the Bike Santa Cruz County Board!
Do you care about safer streets, better bike routes, and making it easier for everyone in Santa Cruz County to get around on two wheels?
Bike Santa Cruz County is looking for a few new leaders and emerging leaders to join our working board of directors.
We’re especially hoping to bring in voices that reflect people from
South County
UCSC or Cabrillo students or faculty
Parents of school-age kids
E-bike and bargo-bike riders
Youth and Students
Latino community members
People passionate about transportation equity and community connection.
What You’ll Do
Spend about 2 hours a week helping with projects, advocacy, or events
Attend monthly board meetings (usually in the evening)
Participate in Bike Santa Cruz County activities rides, tabling, campaigns, and community events
Commit to a 2-year term helping guide our work and direction
Skills & Perspectives We’re Looking For
Experience or interest in a few areas is a big plus:
Lived experience biking in challenging or unsafe conditions
Fundraising, donor relations, or event sponsorships
Community organizing and coalition building
Communications, social media, and storytelling
Transportation equity and safe infrastructure advocacy
Legal, finance, or nonprofit governance experience
Video, tech, or digital outreach skills
